Our Journey

1 week in recap...

So it's been a pretty busy week.

At work it's registration time, so ahhh!!

Bobby has been pretty busy too -- he  is a monster and is taking 4 classes this term.  he has 2 weekends off in the next 9 weeks (one of them being this coming up weekend). I am proud of him though -- only 16 more classes until he is done with his bachelors (and he plans on taking CLEPs for 4 of them). :)  He's on track to complete his bachelors in a little over two years.

Lucy is having surgery on her knee on the 21st.  We have to drop her off at 7 am and pick her up the next day.  She is getting a steel plate and 4 screws to reconnect her bones.  She is a trooper and I know she'll be back to 100% in no time at all.  Plus she lost another 4 lbs!  That is 10 lbs in 8 months...we are so proud of our chunky butt!

This past weekend we went to Lake Constance with some friends to go camping, and then drove up to Austria for white water rafting in the Inn River.  Bobby has never been before, and it was in celebration of his birthday (which is today!) :) We has a blast, minus the bug bites....

Yesterday we went out to dinner with some friends and their adorable daughter drew Bobby a picture of Hulk, Batman, and Captain America for his birthday!  Plus they gave him Sponge Bob hats to wear :)

To top off the entire week, Bobby and I got to talk to Gia on Skype yesterday for 30 minutes! This is the longest that we have been able to keep her attention. She kept bringing stuff to show us.  She brought the pictures we sent her and kept putting them up to the screen for us to see.  Then she brought out the birthday card we sent her.  She is doing well, and we miss her and Geo terribly!  But two months ago today we said goodbye to our son and drove to the other side of Bulgaria to meet our daughter.  I can't wait to make that drive again to bring them together.  I can't wait to introduce them to each other.  I can't wait to bring them home.

We are waiting on our translations to be done and the MOJ to sign off on our documents.   Our team has high hopes that this will happen before court reopens on the 1st, and we will get assigned a court date quickly!  We appreciate your continued love and support!  We are getting closer every day!

Love,

Lura

  1. Sounds like you are having some fun and good times. Lucy will be so happy once that surgery is done. I'm praying for things to go smoothly.
