Today we made a great decision! An amazing decision! A decision to top all other decisions! :) We are going to do an independent adoption!!! The adoption agency was not meeting our needs, nor our budget -- so we talked to TriCare and got all of our concerns addressed. We were convinced that we will not run into any problems, so we officially committed to do this adoption independently! Others have bravely gone before us without any issues -- so we know everything will work out!
We are excited, and hopefully with one less hand in the pot -- the process will go a little quicker! I am still praying for the best Christmas ever! Please remember this is Lura's dream and not necessarily a reality! But I am going to dream away! Also, we put some more money into our savings (yay for paydays) and have sold $60.00 so far on our online yard sale. We are now at 29% of our goal of $25,000.00. We have raised and saved (drum roll please) $7,238.00 in less then one month! Thank you so much for everyone who has helped us get this far!

Please keep in mind that this donation goes to the 2 children we wish to adopt, and not directly to us. Reese's Rainbow does keep a small portion of your donation to help them run their organization and keep finding homes for all of these wonderful children. The remaining portion of your donation is returned to us before we travel as a grant.

Today is an awesome day! We are glad that we can share the kids with you! Please keep in mind that we are committed to getting these children but there is a small chance that they may get adopted before we get there. The chance is less then 10%, but it is still out there. We know we will end up with the kiddos that we are supposed to!
Thank you for your continued love and support! We are getting closer and closer to bringing our kids home! We still have quite a way to go with raising money -- but we know we will make it!
We are about to start work on our dossier packet -- and our home study will be officially completed within 2 weeks. :) We are on a roll! :)
